Background
After graduating from Sciences Po in 1988, Véronique Laury joined Leroy Merlin and took over various functions in the marketing and sales field for about 15 years.
In 2003, she joined Kingfisher, the European giant DIY retailer, parent company of B&Q, Brico Dépôt, Castorama and Screwfix. She was incharge of the Sales and Marketing Department of Castorama (France) and later of B&Q (UK) before being named Head of Group Sales and Marketing Strategy, taking over the responsibility of Group purchasing and brand development.
In 2013, Véronique Laury became Chief Executive Officer of Castorama France.
From September 2014 to September 2019, she was Chief Executive Officer of Kingfisher plc, listed in the FTSE 100 (UK).
